The Board of Volleyball Queensland has appointed Vicky Denner to fill the current vacancy on the Board of Management until the Annual General Meeting in 2019.
Joining the Royal Australian Airforce in 1987, Vicky obtained a broad range of qualifications including linguistics; basic civil flying training, followed by Air Traffic Control; operations, and education. With tertiary qualifications in education, operations, business, transportation, and project and risk management, Vicky is an extremely accountable, results-oriented motivator, educator, and operational manager.
A busy working mother of three, Vicky has held a variety of Senior Management roles and Board Positions for more than 10 years and is currently the WOW (Ways of Working) Coach for Telstra. As one of the first women in the Defence Hall of Fame, Vicky has contributed to both indoor and beach volleyball as a player, coach, manger, mentor, and talent development officer.
Vicky continues to compete in the Masters category on the international tour for both beach and indoor volleyball, and supports junior and club development in Queensland for both categories. Vicky is an active player on both the Queensland Beach Volleyball Tour and in the Premier Volleyball League.
Vicky brings a wealth of professional experience to the Board and is an active player of both beach and indoor volleyball. We welcome Vicky joining the Board and look forward to working with her.
