Volleyball Queensland’s Golden Jubilee

Volleyball was first played in Queensland at Dutton Park State High School in 1969 the same year that QVA Inc. was officially established on the 14 July. Since then, volleyball and beach volleyball has shown wonderful growth in Queensland and 2019 marked Volleyball QLD’s 50th year.

Celebrating this milestone, Volleyball QLD hosted a Golden Jubilee at a gala dinner that reunited the volleyball community and honoured players from each decade, the team of the half century, and our coaches and referees. We also celebrated the growth of beach volleyball in QLD over the past 32 years since 1987.
