REFEREES & OFFICIALS

Volleyball Queensland are involved in the development of volleyball officials around the state.  For more information about the referee accreditation and upgrade process, please refer to the Volleyball Australia referee education & development website.

Looking for Referees?
If you are looking for referees to officiate your next volleyball match, please direct your inquiries to the Queensland Volleyball Referees Commission or their facebook page. Please be sure to include the date, time, venue, number of referees required, and rate of pay or allowance in your inquiry.

Looking for Coaches?
If you are looking for coaches to work with your volleyball team, please direct your inquiries to the Volleyball Coaches Australia facebook group. Please be sure to include the date, time, venue, and rate of pay or allowance in your post.

Has your accreditation expired?
If you have been accredited, but it has expired and you are still actively involved in the sport,
you just need to fill in a Re-Accreditation form and pay a $22 fee.

Wanting to Present courses?
Would you like to become a qualified Presenter and teach the next generation of volleyballers how to officiate or coach?  Contact Patti at the VQ office for more details.


Level 1 Officiating Course is an on-line course at a cost of $44.
This course is designed for high school teachers & athletes to give them a foundation in the art of refereeing.
This level is the minimum requirement when attending National Schools Cup.


Includes
: Nationally recognized level 1 accreditation and certificate.

Level 1 Officiating Course is a face-to-face one-day course
and will cost $60 for VQ members and $70 for non-members
This course is designed for volleyball enthusiasts to get a deeper understanding of refereeing. 
This level will give you more knowledge and a good grounding when officiating any event.

Includes: Nationally recognized level 1 accreditation & certificate, FIVB Rule Book, whistle and set of red & yellow cards.

Level 1 Coaching Course is an on-line course at a cost of $44.
This course is designed for primary & high school teachers & senior school athletes to give them a foundation in coaching.
This level is the minimum requirement for Sporting Schools clinics.

Includes
: Nationally recognized level 1 accreditation & certificate.

Level 3 Volleyball/Beach Volleyball Coach is a face-to-face four-day course
and will cost $350 for VQ members and $390 for non-members

Includes: Nationally recognized level 3 accreditation & certificate, and Advanced Coaching Manual.

Pre-requisites: Current Level 2 Coach accreditation and completion of the "Intermediate Coaching General Principles" online course. ($180 cost)

PRESENTERS

This is a draft proposal at present and in the interim, VA have the following requirements as minimum expectations for those VQ engage as presenters.

Must hold an active accreditation above the intended delivery level or the highest level.
Must comply to all requirements of said accreditation.
Must be a member of the state association.
Must have a WWCC and Play by the Rules modules complete.
Must have a presenter/assessor qualification, obtained from one of the following:
o   State government run courses
o   VA run courses
o   Current teachers
